With a workforce of 10,438 people, AB ranks among the most important employers in Greece.
At the end of 2011, 65.3% of employees were women and 34.7% men. The full-time staff represented 45.65% of the total, while 54.35% were part-time.

Training
ΑΒ provides high quality training programmes carried out with the collaboration both of company executives, building on corporate know-how, and of universities and internationally renowned training organizations.
In 2011, a total of 104 training programmes were carried out on various topics including: Executive Development, Management, Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility, Technical Training, Sales Techniques, IT, Foreign Languages, Internal Procedures, Health & Safety, Dissemination of Values, Customer Service for the retail store network etc. The programmes were attended by 6,447 employees and 139,210 man-hours were invested in them.
Development
ΑΒ implements a modern system of employee performance appraisal and participation in in-house assessment and development centres. As a result, a precise personal career path is drawn up, while the company proceeds with succession planning for positions of high responsibility in the Group both in Greece and abroad.
