Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του '40, η ΙΟΝ πρώτη παράγει ένα νέο τύπο σοκολάτας. Ουσιαστικά δημιουργεί ένα από τα πιο επιτυχημένα και αγαπημένα ελληνικά προϊόντα, την ΙΟΝ Αμυγδάλου. Στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του '50, η ΙΟΝ Αμυγδάλου είναι πλέον ένα καθιερωμένο προϊόν, που σήμερα κυκλοφορεί σε διάφορα μεγέθη.
