Vassilis Stavrou Brand President ΑΒ ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ

Mr. Vassilis Stavrou is Brand President and Head of AB Vassilopoulos` Executive Committee, since 1st of October 2018.

Mr. Stavrou joined AB in 1994 as Head of Standardization of Fruit & Vegetables department.
In 1997 he served as director of the AB Buying and Quality Assurance Department.

In 2000 he became Head of Human Resources Department while in February 2012 he undertook the role of SVP HR/-OD & Sustainability of Delhaize Europe.

Since 1st of May 2014, Mr. Stavrou served as DG SVP & Chief Business Development Officer for Southeastern Europe (SEE) & Indonesia

Since 1st July 2015 and up to end of September 2018 he was operating as Chief Operating Officer of Mega Image in Romania.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Hellenic Management Association.
Mr. Stavrou is the initiator of the “DG Store Manager of the Year” award, which already consists an established recognition program for all store managers in Ahold Delhaize Group.
Dimitris Artikopoulos VP HR/OD & PMO Greece
Dimitris Artikopoulos joined the company in 1998 in the R&D Department as property researcher. In 1999, he was transferred to the Employment Service in the Human Resources Department where he promoted to HR Development Manager in 2000. Since December 2011 he holds the position of VP Human Resources/ Organizational Development for Greece. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Athens and an MSc in Marketing & Communication from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He has been a tutor in the Department of Business Administration of the Hellenic (Greek) Open University and has served as a Special Advisor in HR/OD to the Board of Directors of an important public organization. Before joining AB, Dimitris had an extensive working experience in market research and political communication. He is a certified coach and a founding member of the Hellenic (Greek) Coaching Association.
Demetre Valindras VP IT Southeastern Europe
Demetre joined our company in July 2011 as VP IT Southeastern Europe. He started his professional career in 1985 as Editor – Columnist at Compupress SA. In 1988 he joined Algosystems, one of the oldest Greek IT companies, serving as Product Manager first, to become Sales Manager in 1990. In 1992 he joined Delta Dairy SA, establishing the Networks and Communications department and running several projects on a group level. In 2004, having been through various management positions in the group IT, he was appointed IT & Business Services Director at Delta Holding SA and in 2006 he took up the position of CIO at Vivartia SA. More recently Demetre worked as Consultant – Entrepreneur for small and medium enterprises in business operations and IT systems. Demetre holds an MBA, Management of Technology Systems from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and a BSc Geophysics from the Western Michigan University of Kalamazoo in the US. He is a Greek native speaker proficient in English. He is married with two children.
Kalle Becker SVP Οperations
Kalle Becker joined AB Vassilopoulos on December 1st, 2019 in his current position as SVP Operations.
Before this, Kalle was working for more than 13 years for METRO Cash & Carry in various positions. He was Executive Assistant to the CEO of METRO Cash & Carry International, Store General Manager at METRO Cash & Carry Germany, Head of Store Operations at PASERDA Indonesia, Operations Director at METRO Cash & Carry Japan and most recently Deputy Operations Director at METRO Cash & Carry Russia.
Kalle holds an M.A. and Ph.D. equivalent degree from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. 
Sofoklis Yiannacou SVP Finance - CFO ΑΒ Βασιλόπουλος
Sofoklis Yiannacou was born in Athens and has also lived in Frankfurt, Germany for 4 years. He studied Financial and Banking Management in the University of Piraeus. He holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Accounting and Tax from the Athens University of Economics and Business and he is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Sofoklis has worked for Geniki Bank of Greece (Dealing Room) during his studies. He then moved to KPMG (1996-2006) where he worked as a Manager in Risk Advisor Services. After KPMG, he worked for British American Tobacco (2006-2009) as Financial Accounting and Tax Manager and Marketing Finance Manager. Mr Yiannacou was hired in 2009 in AB Vassilopoulos as a Finance Director. He was then promoted to AB Vassillopoulos as VP Finance and CFO
He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer Southeastern Europe & and AB Vassilopoulos. He speaks 4 languages (Greek, English, German and French). He is a Greek native speaker, proficient in English and he also speaks French and German. He enjoys swimming and playing tennis. He is married.
Spyros Gregoriadis VP Business Development
Spyros Gregoriadis joined AB Vassilopoulos in February 2019 as VP Business Development Greece. He has a long working experience in the retail sector, both within and outside Greece, in sales and network development. He began his career in the Kwik Save and J Sainsbury supermarket chains in London. He has worked in Germanos chain of stores for 3 years. During the next 6 years, he served as Manager of Retail Operations at Telemarketing SA, and then undertook the position of Letting & Development Executive in Charagionis Group. For the last 9 years he has been working for H & M group, starting as a Lease Manager for Greece and Bulgaria, and then he was promoted to Head of Leasing and Interior for Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and for the last year also for Switzerland and Turkey.
He holds a BSc in Economics and Statistics from Dundee University in Scotland, an MBA in Marketing from Cass Business School in London and a Diploma in Marketing from the UK's Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Spyros Kyrousis SVP Logistics
Spyros joined AB in March 2001 as Business Analysis & Audit Director, at Internal Audit department. In 2004, he was appointed Secretary of the Executive Committee, in addition to his role as Internal Audit Director. In November 2007, he was promoted to Logistics Executive Director, while in March 2010 he was appointed as SVP Logistics. In February 2017 he was appointed as SVP Operations. In January 2020 he is appointed as SVP Logistics.
He holds a degree in Economics, from University of Piraeus and also an MSc in Multinational Accounting and Financial Management from University of Reading, UK.
Printzios Dimitris SVP Buying  in the Buying Department
Dimitris joined AB in 1992 as a Non-Food Buyer at the Buying Department (the then-named Commercial Department), promoted to Senior Non-Food Buyer in 1996, transferred to the Operations Department in 1999, where he was promoted to Systems & Methods Manager, appointed District Manager in 2001 and promoted to Retail Operation Manager in January 2002. Since December 2002, he has been responsible for the Operations Department, initially serving as the Acting Retail Operations Director and subsequently as SVP Operations.
He holds a B.Sc. in Forestry from the Technological Institute of Patras.

Eleni Providi VP Legal Affairs

Eleni Providi is VP Legal Affairs of AB Vassilopoulos a company of Ahold Delhaize Group, which she joined in 2001 as corporate lawyer. In 2002 she became Head of Legal Department, in 2004 Secretary to the Board of Directors and in 2010 Executive Committee member. Prior to joining ALFA BETA, Eleni was a Corporate Lawyer for Nireus Group of Companies where she was in charge of the legal support of the group in fields of corporate, civil, commercial, labor, stock market, European and international law. Eleni graduated from the Law School of the University of Athens and holds a Master Degree in Corporate Law from the University of Heidelberg, Germany.

Petros Trachanas SVP Business Opportunities
Petros joined AB in April 1995 to head the newly formed Coordination & Planning Department in the Buying function (the then-named Commercial Department) and was promoted to Food Buying Director in April 1997. In June 1999, he was promoted to Internal Audit & Business Analysis Director and in 2001 he was transferred to the Logistics Department to become its Logistics Director. In 2004, he was appointed Business Development Executive Director having the responsibility for both Development & Technical Support department and ENA C&C operation. From September 2007, he has lead the Buying and Quality Assurance Department, serving as SVP Buying. In February 2017 he was appointed as SVP Logistics and since January 2020 he is appointed as SVP Business Opportunities. 
He holds a BA in Business Administration from the Economic University of Macedonia, and MSc in Business Administration specializing in the Management of New Information Technologies, from the Paris-Dauphine University of France, and honored with a Doctorate in Economics from the same University.
Zeta Cheimonidou VP Marketing and Strategy Greece
Zeta Cheimonidou has joined AB as VP Marketing & Strategy Greece, in Jan 2012. She has previous extensive working experience in product launching and marketing both in Greece and internationally. She has worked for 5 years in Unilever (ELAIS) having the responsibility for the promotion and development of fast-moving consumer goods. Zeta has also worked for 4 years at the Coca-Cola Company assuming duties of Region Marketing Manager for specific product categories and the development of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games plan sponsorship. Following that, she took over the duties of Marketing Director in Diageo, in charge of a large portfolio of products. The last three years, Zeta has been working at NIKAS Company as Group Marketing Director for Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Cyprus
She holds a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece and an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.
